CEO Emeritus of Anne Arundel Medical Center
Mr. Martin L. "Chip" Doordan joined the Anne Arundel Medical Center (AAMC) in 1972 for a hospital administration residency. In 2011, he retired from his position as CEO of AAMC, having spent nearly 30 years with the company. He also serves as a Trustee at AAMC, Inc., as well as on several committees of the Maryland Hospital Association.
Mr. Doordan has served on the Board of the Anne Arundel Trade Council and serves on the Boards of Leadership Anne Arundel, United Way for Anne Arundel County, Annapolis and Anne Arundel County Chamber of Commerce, and Hospice of the Chesapeake. From 1968 to 1970 he served in the Armed Forces, and afterwards he attended George Washington University. Mr. Doordan has a M.S. degree from the University of Maryland, and an M.A. degree in Health Care Administration from The George Washington University. He is a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.
